If you decide you’d like to work with us, the first thing to do is to send us a message. We’ll then be in touch to arrange a good time to chat. We do our discussions either by video call or over the phone if you prefer.
We’ll talk to you and ask lots of questions to fully understand your situation and to cover all the financial, legal and practical sides of your planning. This call usually takes about 40 minutes.
After our call, you’ll receive a document from us via email, which summarises what we talked about and sets out our recommendations for you. It will explain what we think are the best ways to give you what you want.
In our second call, we’ll go through the recommendations we’ve made for you, answer any questions, and help you make some key decisions. You can have more time to think things over if you need it.
There’s no obligation to continue, but hoping you will, we ask for payment and some finer details to help us create your legal documents. You’ll have access to our online portal to confirm all your information is correct. We’ll then post your documents to you.
Your Will only becomes valid once signed and witnessed by two people, so this bit is really important. You’ll need to choose your own witnesses to watch you sign (they need to be impartial, so friends or neighbours not mentioned in your Will are ideal).
The next step is to set up your Kinvault handover platform, and start the process of gathering all your important information together. We’ll show you how to do this and answer any questions you may have. It’s then over to you to populate it (but we’re at the end of the phone if you need us).
If you agree, we also ensure everyone who has a role in your planning knows about it. We explain to them how the Kinvault works and ask them to contact us when you die or can no longer make your own decisions. When the time comes, we give them access to your Kinvault to finalise admin tasks and carry out your wishes.
